Crafted from the first pressing of sugar cane (“virgin sugar cane honey”) and aged using the Solera System at high altitude, this rum is a blend of rums aged between 6 and 23 years. Its aging in American oak barrels that previously held robust American whiskey, delicate sherries, and fine Pedro Ximénez wines, gives it a smooth and complex flavor profile. On the nose, it presents sweet aromas of caramel, vanilla, cacao, and butterscotch, with notes of sherry, toasted nuts, toffee, banana, and dried pineapple. On the palate, it is generous and full-bodied, with flavors of dried fruits, apricot, oak, nutmeg, leather, tobacco, coffee, and vanilla, balanced with hints of cinnamon and ginger. The finish is complex with honeyed butterscotch, spiced oak, and dried fruits.
