Description
The Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof is a celebration of Woodford Reserve’s unique process of blending barrels into a batch and then bottling the whiskey at its actual proof, straight from the barrel (“batch proof”). Unlike standard Woodford Reserve which is bottled at 90.4 proof, this collection offers consumers the opportunity to experience the bourbon in its purest and undiluted form. Crafted with the same grain bill and process as Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon, the Batch Proof takes the trademark flavor range of sweet vanilla and toasted oak to a new level of intensity and complexity. Batches are created from approximately 100 barrels from different production dates and matured in various warehouses and different floors within those warehouses. Common Tasting Notes: include rich aromas of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, with hints of dried fruit, baking spices, and a slight touch of leather. On the palate, it presents with body and robustness, with flavors of dark chocolate, toffee, and honey. The strong presence of oak is complemented by notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange peel, creating a harmonious balance between sweet and spicy. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of caramelized sugar, toasted nuts, and a touch of black pepper. The high alcohol proof amplifies the intensity of the flavors, leaving a warm and pleasant sensation on the palate. Brand:: Woodford Reserve Origin:: United States, specifically Kentucky.
