The RIEDEL Veritas Champagne glass is designed to enhance the complexity and aromas of Champagne and other sparkling wines. Unlike a traditional flute, its “egg” shape allows a larger surface area of the wine to come into contact with the air, which helps to develop and release a wider range of aromas that might otherwise be trapped in a narrower glass. Its wider rim allows these aromas to be optimally directed towards the nose. This glass also features a “sparkling point” on the inner base of the bowl, a small rough spot that aids in the continuous formation of bubbles, maintaining the wine’s liveliness. It is ideal for light, fresh, dry Champagnes, as well as Proseccos and other sparkling wines.
