Jefferson’s Ocean Wheated 750 ml is a unique and innovative Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that undergoes a distinctive aging process. After initial aging in traditional rickhouses for at least four years, this wheated bourbon is placed on OCEARCH research vessels and travels the globe. The constant motion of the sea, the varied climates, and the salty air are believed to hyper-age the bourbon, imparting a unique flavor profile unlike any other. This wheated mash bill (using wheat instead of rye as the secondary grain) is chosen to amplify the flavors derived from the ocean voyage, resulting in a smoother, less spicy character with enhanced notes of caramel, vanilla, and a hint of sea salt.
