Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon is the world’s first bourbon aged using the solera method. This process, traditionally used for sherry and port, involves using a series of casks, where the youngest are blended with the oldest, resulting in a bourbon of great complexity and smoothness. The bourbon is finished in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which gives it notes of dried fruit, nuts, and a spicy touch. On the nose, it presents sweet aromas of caramel and vanilla, with floral and fruity hints. On the palate, it is well-balanced, with flavors of roasted corn, dried fruit, and a medium-long finish with notes of caramel and butterscotch.
