WHISTLEPIG Straight Rye Whiskey Roadstock is a special edition that celebrates travel and the maturation of whiskey on the move. This rye whiskey is aged for at least six years and then undergoes a unique “road trip” in specially equipped trucks, traveling thousands of miles through different climates and altitudes. This maturation in transit, with the constant vibrations and environmental changes, is believed to impart a distinctive character to the whiskey. It is finally finished in Vermont white oak barrels at the WhistlePig distillery. Bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV), Roadstock offers a complex flavor profile with notes of rye spice, caramel, vanilla, oak, and subtle hints influenced by its unique maturation process. It is often described as having a balance between the traditional spicy notes of rye and a smoothness acquired during its journey.
